roadmap

Based on the report of the 1st meeting in Athens here comes a listing of things that are already implemented, other that are pending, and questions/notes/need for help in particular cases.The text is available at http://noborder.socialcenter.gr/roadmap and any registered user can edit  it (add things or take over part of the work by writing his/her name next to a pending task)

• Multilingual support with

• Content Translation

• Interface (buttons, helptexts etc) localization

• note1: the en,gr,it,de are already inserted more as example of how it works...

• note2: if anyone has experience with right to left languages/scripts (like farsi) please drop me (lunatic@auth.gr) a hint (we didn't try to implement it yet).

• note3: for content translation to farsi there are people at Thessaloniki to support it

• Content support of

• Documents

• Announcements

• Events categorized to

• Schedule (of the camp) presented as calendar

• Chronicle (of Lesvos) presented as timeline

• Materials (not yet implemented/but soon)

• Images/Posters

• Videos (because of space maybe videos could be gathered somewhere else, Ben?)

• PDF and printer friendly pages are enabled

• Image support is enabled

• A contact form is created (communication link - upper right) that sends email at the gmail account

• Interactive Map (PENDING-sorry)

Maybe somebody who has already thought of how it should be, what it should include, what not and has the data and time to do it, could set it up and drop me the link so as to embend it.

• Help Page (PENDING-sorry)

Basic help page with internal links and explanations especially for content structure and the translation tools that exist but aren't so visible.

• For the domain we thought that something like lesvos2009.noborder.org (*1) (or even 09.noborder.org) should be ok and nicer than a long name, but if the domain it is already decided but not registered tell me so as to take care of.

• You can register freely and we could find a way through the list for some admins (edit any content, users, menus etc)

• If you have any first thoughts/comments/feedback, please contact us at noborder@noborder.socialcenter.gr as this weekend we have some time to move and implement pending issues and add more content

• If you have content (text, etc) and can't upload it yourself or don't have time to do it, pls forward the material to noborder@noborder.socialcenter.gr

• Technically the web site is based on drupal and uses as base theme the "simply modern". It's also using modules like event, image, calendar, timeline, print, i18n ...

*1 : it should be enough an one line configuration like:lesvos09.noborder.org.    IN     CNAME    socialcenter.gr
